Don't throw things at the automatons, they can be dangerous. Your wiggly tail might come right off if they get angry and we don't want that.

[ He starts removing the garish horn jewellery and leaning past Molly to set it on the nightstand. Knowing what Molly likes, and since they are squashed together with no hope of escape anyway, he runs his fingers down a horn to knead at the base into the roots of nearby hair, hoping it will stop Molly from getting queasy and the touch will be an anchor.

It's also a weak excuse to touch him again; Molly won't remember much in the morning. Deep-voiced with a private affection that never leaves their bedroom, he tries to soothe that feckless energy. ]

Do you know you're in the wrong bed, sweetheart?

Clong!

[ Molly repeats, as if that somehow made the possible tail trauma worth it. He leans closer to Fjord, still purring as he's relieved of some jewelry, heart rushing with happiness and love spurred on by the sweet gestures. The horn-rubbing sooths him enough for his eyes to start closing, tiredness filling his body quickly once that starts.

He mumbles something incomprehensible and then blinks at Fjord when the man speaks again. ]

S'our bed.

[ Clong. Sums them up quite well.

His smile softens a little, saddened, because as much as he would like to keep Molly in his bed and pretend this is now normal, he feels like that would be a lie too far even to a wasted friend. ]

We split the beds up, remember?

[devilstongue]

[ Molly blinks again, trying to focus for a moment - and then his face falls into an expression of anguish, like it all just got back to him. He tries to sit up but he's too dizzy now, almost sliding off the whole bed instead. ]

I forgot... I forgot we're being sad.

[halforc]

[ Snagging him around the waist to pull him safely back, he makes room for Molly if they lie together. It can work. ]

It's ... It's okay. It's okay, for now.

[ He isn't heartless, fuck. And it isn't exactly a sacrifice, offering his space when Molly is woosy. ]

You can stay here tonight.

[devilstongue]

I can stay... stay here. With you?

[ Molly's mostly a floppy mess by now anyway, so he just collapses back in the bed. ]

I miss youuu. I miss your scent, your arms, your kiss. So much!

[halforc]

[ Uh, oh. In a bid to distract himself from how much he feels the same, he sits up to take off Molly's other boot and help him out of his belt. The pants stay on. ]

You've got no bones when you're drunk, do you know that? Get under the covers, Molls.

[devilstongue]

Bones are for chumps.

[ The mess of a tiefling proclaims, wiggling a bit to grab the covers and pull them almost all the way over his head. It smells like Fjord and the scent immediately makes him purr loudly again. ]

Sleep time! Tomorrow I'm feeding Beau a worm, cuz it's super boozy...

I'll watch you do it, love.

[ He suspects the only thing Molly will be feeding tomorrow is his hangover a greasy breakfast.

After a moment's hesitation looking down on him, he hooks an arm around Molly's shoulders to coax him into what became, over months, their natural sleeping position with those horns safely tucked away, a tiefling on his chest. ]

Come here, just don't throw up on me or I really will toss you back into your own bed.

[devilstongue]

Good.

[ He's definitely going to need a good breakfast and some pain pills tomorrow, because tequila is quite different from slowly getting shitfaced after hours of drinking ale. (It's a good thing Molly's used to the landings of most things.)

The tiefling is surprised to feel the familiar arms around him, coaxing him into the most perfect place in any world. He leans to that offered chest with a bone-weary sigh of contentment, tail immediately seeking out an ankle to coil the end around.

It's the most comfortable he's been in a long time, surrounded by Fjord's scent, heartbeat and warmth. ]

Not... gonna throw up.

[ He mumbles again, his body already the consistency of a lavender ooze. ]

[ It hits him just how lonely his bed has been without that tail winding around some part of him, it's a very Molly thing to do. The hot spot between his horns where his hair is wildest is where Fjord nuzzles in for the night, slowly rubbing across Molly's back. To say he isn't tired too would be a lie, woken up so rudely, and it's scandalously easy to relax with Molly settled for the night in his arms, toasty-hot and soft. ]

I love you, go to sleep.

[ It's the last thing he whispers before giving into exhaustion himself. ]

[ Fjord gets a snooze back in reply, as the tiefling is out immediately. He snuggles close all night, radiating heat and happiness in one despite the occasional drunk-snore.

Molly's not going to get out of this bed until he's dragged out of it, a dead weight on that handsome half-orc when morning comes. ]

[ Unsurprisingly the first one up, he breathes in the morning air as his lashes flutter and finds his vision is purple with the scent of ... something. Molly? Oh, it is Molly.

That's nice.

He kisses down soft hair to a forehead, shifting in bed just for the pleasure of feeling Molly against him, yawning widely. ]

[ It's so comfortable and so nice, and Molly still furrows his brow when he's sweetly kissed down to his forehead. He whines slightly, leaning closer to the half-orc, refusing to consider mornings being a thing.

If he doesn't accept mornings, he doesn't have to address the thundering ache in his head, the strained limbs and the cotton mouth.

He adamantly forces himself to fall back asleep, and it almost works... but the his mushy brain catches up on the fact that Fjord's right there. In bed with him ]

What? Wha...

[halforc]

[ It's the voice that reels him out of a doze, waking up a little faster with Molly's audible confusion mumbled against him. The whole sequence of events of last night return and Fjord ...

Holds Molly closer, burying his fingers in soft hair and reasserting the embrace around a lavender waist.

Time ticks on, a breath huffed as he stays where he is. ]

Morning.

[devilstongue]

[ Molly settles again as he feels Fjord hold him closer and stroke his pounding head. He relaxes against the green chest again, trying to survive the hangover while also taking as much time as possible with his lover.

When Fjord speaks, Molly buries his face in his neck with a whine. ]

I'm dying.

[halforc]

That's what dirty stop-outs get.

[ He would make a quip along the lines of "did you grow any new eyes" but this isn't the mood for it. ]

Are you hungry?

[devilstongue]

Fuck youuu...

[ How that could be said with such whininess and fondness in one is a true mystery. He blinks his bleary eyes open more, a mess of a hungover brat and still kind of happy that it meant he was this close to Fjord. ]

I dunno... my head's pounding.

[ This close to Fjord? ]

I'm in your bed...?

[halforc]

[ Snorting at the aimless cursing, he takes a breath and lets it out in a sigh as Molly starts to vaguely make sense of his surroundings. ]

You crashed here last night. [ Quickly, he adds, ] It's okay.

[devilstongue]

Oh. Must've... been real drunk.

[ Fuck, why is he talking? His head is pounding and his vision is blurred. ]

Y'sure this is okay? I... I missed it.

[halforc]

I'm sure.

[ Thank fuck Molly's hungover enough not to notice how Fjord is holding onto him. He runs a hand from tail to nape and back along a spine, hoping the warm weight of his hand soothes some of that grogginess. ]

Do you want me to move and make breakfast or shall I stay here?

[devilstongue]

If you move I might die, and not only because of this hangover.

[ The tieflings sighs, melting back against Fjord into the space that just seemed made for him. His tail curl more securely around a thigh, as if he wants to cling on if the half-orc does decide to leave, and he places a sloppy kiss at the shoulder he's slept on. ]

I guess I gravitate towards you in all my weakest moments.

[halforc]

[ Looks like all hope of being maturely separate adults is gone. Fjord feels that kiss on his shoulder and takes a steadying breath, swallowing the lump in his throat; the tail winding around his thigh crosses all kinds of barriers that he shouldn't be happy about but is. ]

Glorified mattress, that's me.

[devilstongue]

The best kind.

[ Molly mumbles, and a small part of his realizes he's pushing things - but it's mostly overshadowed by his hangover. He starts purring with joy, but then quickly whines as it bothers him too much at the moment, so instead he just buries his head against green skin. ]

I missed you.

[halforc]

[ Someone's going to get a headache if he keeps purring ... oh, there it goes. Gone. He'll hear it again later when Molly isn't a mess. Fjord buries a hand in Molly's hair, letting the wooosy tiefling hide against him in a cuddle. ]

I've missed you too, Molls. A little.

[ Shaking with a chuckle. ]
