[ Fjord, being the generous and loving boyfriend he is, runs Molly a hot bath and squirts in some of that ambrosia stuff Aprhodite gave them, assuming if gods eat it it's good to bathe in too. Magical shit. He tells him to "enjoy yourself but don't drown", kisses him on the cheek to reaffirm things are going positive places (Molly needs physical reassurances, he's learned) and heads out to find them breakfast. He takes a walk to a diner, finds them some fast-food to stick to Molly's insides so he doesn't throw up, and returns within the hour.
Jogging up the stairs with the spoils of hashbrowns and eggy bacon rolls, he calls, ]
Molly! I hope you're dry, food's here.
[ It all feels ... right. Casual, the way they used to be before something stuck in the mud between them. Fjord will apologise later properly, for now he does it with actions. ]
[ Molly absolutely melts into the bath, suddenly lacking any bones as the heat and the amazing scent of his favorite incense and oils (thank you, ambrosia). He smiles happily as his cheek is kissed, chest blooming with happiness and relief. Things seemed good.
Maybe they could make this work again.
When Fjord returns he's just gotten out of the bath, brushing his locks and rubbing some oil into his horns. The tiefling opens the door a bit at the call, wearing a towel around his hips (for once). ]
Almost dry! That smells amazing, love.
[ Love. It felt like ages since he last said that. ]
[ Molly smells like ... the sea? Like a fresh breeze on the beach or the flowers at the portside market. Fjord is subsequently distracted by Molly's state of undress and simultaneously unsurprised, dragging his attention up to that happy face.

I got, uh ... I got what you like. Are you feeling better?
[ Molly smiles at the distraction and gives Fjord an amused but fond look. He nods a little bit at the question, stepping out of the bathroom to head back to their room to get dressed. ]
I am. Queasiness is better, head's still pounding but survivable. I guess I should be thankful I had water as well.
[ Well-informed three-year-old.
He passes by Fjord, and his tail sways under the towel in excitement as he smells the spoils of the food run. ]
Oh, that's wonderful. A greasy meal and I'll soak up the last of this hangover.
[ He almost follows him into the bedroom but hovers in the doorway, uncertain whether he should stay while Molly gets changed. Probably not anymore. Right? Right. The bag is placed down on the bed and he nods to the way out. ]
[ Molly's already dropped in towel as soon as he's in their room, bending over to collect some of his clothes spread on the floor and tossing them into the hamper. ]
Let me put some pants on and I'll meet you in the kitchen.
[ About five minutes later, Molly slinks down into the kitchen, wearing black leggings, his boots and a comfy hoodie that also seems to be missing half of it. It's apparently a thing, now. ]
Feeeeed meeeee.
[ Molly whines, making grabby hands for a coffee cup and the goods. ]
[ Having left the room with the food in a panic instead of leaving it on the bed as planned, he nods to the bag on the table. There's a black cup of coffee that Fjord pours out as the scantily-clad menace walks in. ]
Do all your shirts have to be mauled in half by a monster before you'll wear them?
[ Seeing the food, Molly's quick to sit and grab some for himself, looking a lot better than the absolute mess he was last night and this morning. He noms on a hashbrown when the hexadin comment on his shirt, and he can't help a grin. ]
They come like this, you know! It's fashionable.
[ You look like a purple twink, Molly. ]
It's a nice tummy, very good with what it needs to do. It deserves some love.
It's not cold inside, at least. I'll just wear longer things if it snows again.
[ Don't make him rationalize crop tops, Fjord!
The compliment makes him smile, though, and he gives it a pat just because. It's... not the best idea, and he has to take a moment to not spew. Still not great, then.
[ Molly looks up from his eggroll at that and leans back a bit so that he can listen to Fjord. He seems a little confused at first, but then he smiles sadly. ]
Hey. We both hurt eachother. It's not just you.
[ He takes a deep breath. ]
I can't fix what I did, but I miss you so much. Talking, eating together... but I also miss us. Waking up in your arms. Making you smile. Knowing you still love me.
Molly, I just wanted some space. [ Caleb was entirely right, as it turns out. ] I was overwhelmed and upset, I felt like my feelings were being shouted down. That's why I left. I took my stuff because I had no idea where I was going.
How was I supposed to know that? I just... I don't know how these things work. Relationships, I mean.
[ He feels the hand on his own, and turns it so he can clasp their fingers together. ]
I thought I had fucked it up forever and it almost broke me.
[ Hence the burning and flaying comments. It was stupid and pathetic and overly dramatic, very much similar to a young first heartbreak. Only Molly was an adult, not a teenager.
[ Molly says with a slight huff, but he smiles a little as well. It felt weird, to bee so obsessed about something that he let it hurt him this badly.
At the same time, it made him so happy. (Before this.)
Right now it just felt really fragile - combine that with his hangover and Molly was really ready to just go full drama in the kitchen at any more bullshit. ]
