Aww, you were a good girl.

[ He waggles his brows up at her, reaching back to hug her waist above. As his fingers trail up her back under his hoodie, he looks genuinely interested when she mentions the card. ]

You did? Show me, what did you paint?

[devilstongue]

[ Molly sticks her tongue out at the 'good girl' part, wiggling a bit as he finds a slightly ticklish spot. She leans over to the nightstand beside the bed, just barely managing to open the drawer and grab her card without making them both fall over.

She hands it over to Fjord while opening a beer. The card is another double one, with nine flowers on one side tangling together with a sun above them, and on the opposite the cut stems are bleeding into a bowl full of buttons. The words say 'Home' and 'Here'. ]

[ Nine, huh. Huh. He hums as he looks it over, thumb brushing over the flowers. He sets the card safely on his chest and brushes his curled knuckles along the red eye on Molly's neck, looking up at her. ]

That's awfully visual.

[devilstongue]

I... had a lot to thoughts when Veth arrived. About the banner, and how this isn't home.

[ Molly shrugs slightly and takes another bite of her pizza. ]

It ran around in my head long enough that I had to put it on a card.

I noticed you were antsy about that. So we're the bleeding flowers?

[ His palm opens up to slide down Molly's arm consolingly, giving her a rub. ]

[devilstongue]

Yeah... together we're beautiful, a home made from a found family. [ She smiles, pointing at the flowers. ] They're all weeds of some kinds, to show our strength. [ Wink! ]

...but just like people have to go through a lot of pain to find the place they belong, our roots have been cut... and remaining in one place without going forward will eventually make us bleed out. Then we will never find home and will only be 'here'.

[halforc]

Molly.

[ Fjord sits up and brushes back her hair, leaning in for a brief kiss. He continues to cup her cheek while holding her gaze. ]

I promise we'll go home. And ... if something stops us, if we ever get stuck here ... we'll be stuck together.

But that's a really big if, love.

[devilstongue]

[ She meets the kiss slowly, and then shakes her head a bit when Fjord speaks. ]

I know... I know that's what we hope for and will fight for.

[ It's what keeps her sane, holding on to this rather than awaiting death and nothingness - even if she knows deep inside it's probably not going to go well. ]

The idea of this being 'home' just bothered me during that party, that's all. I got the melancholy all out of me with the card, so it's all good.

It's not home and never could be.

[ Fjord drags the pizza box closer, an arm up for Molly to crawl under if she wants to cuddle against the headboard as Fjord leans back. He hopes it helps for her to hear this all out loud from someone. ]

As soon as Caleb has his tower back, you'll see what home is. We carry it with us.

[devilstongue]

[ Molly leans against him as soon as he offers, immediately feeling a little better. It does help her to hear it, to know that not everyone thought so. The conversation with Beau had been a little jarring, but in hindsight she realizes why the monk pushed to try to convince her about it, but... Molly was coming home with them.

At the mention of the tower, Molly smiles and reaches for her pizza again. ]

Tell me about it.

Well ...

[ Cuddled up together, he rubs Molly's back and arms. Offers him some pizza. ]

You have to say 'Up' if you want to float up the middle of the tower, there are floors we share together. I have Jester and Beau on mine, Caduceus shares a floor with Yasha and the guest bedroom, and there's a great hall as well as a huge salon with a stained glass window of someone's coat.

[ Kisses find Molly's hair and horns. ]

[ She eats the pizza happily, listening to Fjord. Him, Jester and Beau on one floor, Cad and Yasha on the second... probably Caleb, Not-Veth and Essek, on next. It sounded nice, but at the mention of the salon and the stained glass window, Molly looks up at Fjord with wide eyes. ]

...really? That's... that's really sweet.

When we sit down for drinks it's under a lovely red glow in front of the hearth. You'll love it when you see it, it's basically a fucking ode to you.

[ Tickling her sides! ]

[devilstongue]

[ Molly squeaks at the tickling, swatting him with her tail. ]

Long may I reign, huh?

[halforc]

You should stay in my room.

[ Gonna catch that tail and have a nibble on the tip! Forbidden spice tonight! ]

[devilstongue]

[ There's more squeaking from the tiefling and she finds that ridiculous, wiggling her tail and bites at green fingers. ]

I'm not sure I should if you're gonna do this!

[halforc]

But this is my second favourite thing to eat!

[ Ohmnomnom, he's going to try and fit that whole spade in his mouth!! ]

[devilstongue]

[ The tiefling outright squeals at the whole fucking spade slipping into that stupid, cute mouth and she pulls away, slapping her boyfriend with her chips. ]

Arghble!

[ He spits the spade out as those chips clock him, coughing in between laughter. ]

... Worth it!

[devilstongue]

You're terrible.

[ Molly laughs, kissing a green cheek and then swatting him with her tail again. ]

Tell me more about the tower, Fjord.

[halforc]

[ A beaten man, he flops against her with an arm draped around Molly's middle to drag her down into cuddle. ]

There are fey cats everywhere! Little fuckers run the whole tower and make the food, do the chores ... It's an allergy nightmare, even if they aren't real.

[devilstongue]

[ Molly happily cuddles up, grinning as she 'won' the bout and celebrates with some beer. ]

I am so surprised that Caleb filled his tower with cats.

[ She can't wait to see how the fuck cats serve food, though. ]

What's your room like?

[halforc]

Hah, right?

[ It's so fortunate they aren't real or Fjord would consider it mild torture. ]

My room has a meditation chamber and then the bedroom looks like inside a ship, it has portholes with water outside and a hammock, a biiig bath ...

[ Stealing some chips. ]

[devilstongue]

Big bath, huh?

[ Molly grins, looking very pleased. ]

Sounds decent. I could probably live there.

[halforc]

You better share my room, we need to test the hammock and see if it holds two.

[ He wraps Molly up in his arms to sway with, getting more wild with each swoop to the side. ]
