[ Molly teases, making a fistpump and then grabbing his tickets. He didn't see any fellow carnies anywhere, so it made sense that prizes would be given out some other way.
He looks around excitedly, and then grabs on to Fjord's sleeve and points him towards a strange game with balls. It seemed more like something they could do! ]
It looks like we're supposed to roll the ball and then it bounces into one of the rings depending on how hard or stylish the rolling was.
[ Elbowing him on the way over, he takes up a spot and pays for their turns. The game isn't hard and he's overconfident, which makes it appropriate when his hand slips as he pushes the ball (12 dex roll, sob) and it barely rocks forward only to roll right back. ]
[ Molly says with a wink, nodding to Fjord to continue with the other nine balls. Skeeball was the closest to the ball-on-bottles game the tiefling could see, and he's very much enjoying watching his date give it a try.
[ With his second roll (even worse, a nat 1) he manages to aim the ball right outside the game and hit the wall behind, wincing at the bang! ]
Okay, okay ... Calmly does it.
[ He manages to get the ball close enough to the lowest hoop but it doesn't go in (3, wow) and he gives the game an aloof look with hands planted on his hips. ]
[ Molly laughs as the ball flies off, and snorts at the next miss. It looks like Fjord was kind of making some progress, though? (He's kind of expecting him to hit someone with at least one ball.) ]
It's quite possibly rigged, carnies do it all the time. However, I see nothing that could be rigged on it. It looks like you're just bad.
[ He kisses Fjord on the cheek and then grabs his first balls - and then goes over to grab the actual ball to play. Measuring a bit, he rolls the ball (dex 12) and it almost makes the way to the bump for it to bounce, but was too slow.
Molly hmms at that and grabs his next ball, using more force this time. (5??) It bounces pretty well, but doesn't hit any of the rings. ]
Ah, fuck.
[ He has some balls left, so he goes for another, taking a moment to steady himself before he rolls it forward (NAT 20!). This time it's just enough speed and a perfect bounce, sending it right into the 100-labeled ring and making the machine ding happily. ]
[ Molly teases, giving Fjord a wink. Then he looks over the arcade again and sees someone dancing(?) on a strange mat on the floor in front of a screen. There's two extra ones near them, so of course Molly will head over to the DDR game. If balls and fighting were fun, surely dancing would be as well!
Especially since it looked like the other person was moving at extreme speed before getting their score and leaving. ]
[ He trots up to tap-tap experimentally too, wondering how it runs without candles beneath the floor ... Wizard stuff, probably. Fjord activates his screen and it screeches music choices that have him blinking widely, swiping through.
He picks beginner mode, because skeeball was a lesson learned. ]
[ Molly's tail flicks as the music turns on, and he looks over the machine curiously. He can't read the music choices or the level, so he just picks the same as Fjord. ]
[ Fjord goes for it. He hurries up and it isn't too hard with his long legs (14 dex!) but it takes a lot of effort and he's puffing halfway through when he glances over to see how Molly's doing. ]
[ Molly's happily hopping around, tail swishing and horn jewelry clinking. With a natural 19 for 22, he's not having much of an issue at all as he tries to follow the steps. It's not perfect at all because he doesn't quite know what he's doing, but he's excited and beaming at the screen - and then sneaking an eye to Fjord with a chuckle. ]
[ It's good fun, exhausting though it becomes (12, 8 con roll +4) in the second half. He leans forward on the handlebar to catch his breath and watches as Molly dances around on the spot, a smile on his face at the sight of him enjoying himself. His own score starts to go down but he points to Molly's. ]
[ Molly keeps going, less graceful this time but his con is holding up at 14 and his dex at 16. He's laughing, messing up a bit here and there but just enjoying all of it.
When it starts going seriously fast he can only keep up for a few more steps before he gives up and just dances with the music. It makes his point go down a bit more, but it doesn't matter. He still gets a heap of tickets and a good workout.
Flopping over the handlebar, Molly groans with a big smile. ]
[ Laughing as he cheers on Molly's victory, he steps down to let on some bystanders and collects the pitiful two tickets from his own machine, gathering up all of them to stuff into his hoodie pockets.
[ Molly's a little wobbly as he steps down with the half-orc's help, and it was a blessing he wasn't in his coat today. Either way, it makes a perfect excuse to lean to Fjord, though, and he leans up to kiss that bearded cheek. ]
I saw something when I scoped this place out, it looked amazing. Let's see if it's free.
[ With an arm draped around Molly's shoulders, he leads him through the labyrinth to a pair of garishly coloured motorbikes, the screen showing people riding them. His eyes light up at Molly. ]
[ Molly is loving this, leaning against his lover as they walk towards the next game. He can't really stop smiling, enjoying just hanging out like this. Most of the stuff in this place had to do with sex, and while Molly adores that, this is...
...this is real.
Moving over to the wheel seats, he inspects them and then mimics the person on the screen that was sitting on it. ]
I want one of these. Do you think the Augur could whip one up?
[ Throwing a leg over the seat, he uses his device to activate the machines for both of them (Fjord is paying for the date today, for everything, because that's what you do) and scrolls through the options for his vehicle. He picks out a big blue one that looks nothing like the tropical monstrosity upon which he's sat, then finds a fun looking racecourse. ]
[ He's not sure how long it would take for Fjord to fall off a real one, but he could figure out that bet with Beau.
It also doesn't really occur to Molly that they're paying for things, since he's so used to actual people to tip at fairs. (And laugh at non-carnies with.) Even so, just taking him to this place is quite possibly the most thoughtful thing he could think of, because it's so... them.
Mulling through the race choices, he finds a smaller white vehicle to pick, since smaller should be faster, right? ]
How hard can it be to control? It's right between my legs!
[ He gives a wink that is neither smooth or tries to be, distracted by the screen counting down a moment later. Three, two ... one!
Fjord leans side to side with the bike and revs the handlebars to their max, hooting as his pixellated proxy screeches around corners in sprays of grinding metal. His enthusiasm and attention to the screen pays off (18 dex!!) and even though his bike creaks with his weight he's able to stay on the tracks. ]
This is fucking awesome, we have to bring the others here to try this!

[ It looks like Molly won, all that avoiding let him stay alive longer. The tickets that spurt out of the machine do so on the tiefling's side. ]
Keep those! If we collect enough we can exchange them for prizes.
[ Where next? Hmmm ... so many games! ]

Are we supposed to go that fast?
[ He's gonna die. ]

Oh, look!
