A Foolish Expedition
● WHO: Shen Qingqiu and You
● WHAT: Exploring the forest and general activities.
● WHEN: The past two weeks.
● WHERE: Forest and around
● WARNINGS: Tentacle vines
Getting to Know the Fauna
Shen Qingqiu despite his tendency to idle loved to explore. He loved to discover and categorize new creatures and monsters. He loved the idea of fighting them and learning what they could do. However, in practice, this was not always a good hobby.
He went off into the forest alone, with a tendency to reach out and touch everything. Several fruits practically exploded on him, getting him sticky, and some of them tried to shoot him with some sort of projectile. However the worst of his encounters hard to be his biggest mistake. Really, he had no one to blame but himself.
Hanging before him was a long tangling plant. It seemed to be oozing some sort of nectar that smelled almost like candy. It was quite appealing and curiosity took over. Knowing very well this was a bad idea and the sorts of plots these kinds of stupid actions sprung he could not help himself from reaching out and taking hold to hesitantly lick it. He found it did in fact taste pretty good, however touching it triggered a predictable reaction.
Fuck! Why the fuck did he do this! This predictable trap and he walked right into it!
Vines came out of everywhere wrapping themselves around him quickly, digging there way under his robes faster than he thought was possible and lifted him in the air like a tangled mess. Struggling did not help, as it just got him caught up more, and trying to call for this sword did little to help as well, as for every two he cut down four replaced it. In the end, he was strung up in a terrible disheveled half-dressed state with one vine desperately poking at his check trying to get in his mouth.
"Help!" he cried, creatively moving his head around trying to avoid the eager little thing from finding it's chance.
RPS and You!
He was not a survivalist, he knew absolutely nothing about surviving or taking care of himself particularly. Sure, if he had to, he could probably sleep outside, he had done that before, once or twice, but, it was different. It was a temporary thing between point A and point B. Trying to organize a place to live, food to eat, and a general idea of his future was just... a bit too much. So, instead of doing something productive, he let his mind wander to the task this world had set out for him. Considering the PWP R-18 nature of this world, he couldn't help but think of the two books he was so unfortunate to be brought here with: Resentment of the Chunshan, and Song of BingQiu. The ridiculous OOC real person fan fiction of himself and his disciple Binghe.
The books were dirty, flowery, and filled with nothing but papapa! The illustrations were quite beautiful, however, and though one was definitely more direct than the other, he couldn't say the writing was bad. It was just... absolutely filthy. Also a little uncomfortable since the subject matter was himself. All he could do was criticize the choices made.
"I would never beg and cry like that," he muttered. "And definitely never put it in my mouth!"

He was not a survivalist, he knew absolutely nothing about surviving or taking care of himself particularly. Sure, if he had to, he could probably sleep outside, he had done that before, once or twice, but, it was different. It was a temporary thing between point A and point B. Also a little uncomfortable since the subject matter was himself. All he could do was criticize the choices made.
"I would never beg and cry like that," he muttered. "And definitely never put it in my mouth!"

"Ah! So you admit it! You think if I were a women, I'd simply be superior to all other women out there! You already know I'd look magnificent!"
Priorities.
Now he wishes the heavenly realm had holograms he could save from his shenanigans, too.
"I would need to fix my robes, first," a thoughtful tap on his lips, "They don't have the proper support, like this. Might be indecent."
no subject
And who said anything about being the best looking woman ever? Don’t put words in his mouth!
“Please, such indecencies would be too much.”
no subject
Normally, he wouldn't bother with this. Normally, his attendants would take care of helping him dress even on a normal day. Normal--and not much about this is normal--he would change in the privacy of his own home.
The belt that normally sits loose right above the hipbone is undone to go higher and tighter up the waist, the collar shifting and the sleeves moved forward. At least he's wearing pants, needing little adjustment.
There's a blur of soft light before the figure before Shen Qingqiu diminishes in height and stature, leaving a woman still generous in height. Shi Qingxuan's face is softer, almost elfin shaped, nose slimmer and eyes rounder. The garments lack the traditional snaps and ties to keep a generous bosom of spilling into the adjusted neckline despite best efforts, and the pants beneath their robes are taut at the hips.
The Wind Master, for her part, seems very little at ease.
"See? Better than the hologram."
The cheeky grin is identical, of course.
no subject
And he did have to agree, the woman before him was much nicer looking than the hologram. There was only one problem....
He wasn't sure where to look! They were... they were so... so obviously there. It felt rude to keep looking too much and he felt flustered thinking about them.
"Indeed, the hologram pales in comparison," and definitely was stingy in the bounty of that area!
no subject
If Shi Qingxuan is in any shape or form aware of her companion's discomfort, she shows no sign of it. Perhaps it's a testament to Shen Qingqiu's excellent composure, or the heavenly official's remarkable obliviousness. She's not too oblivious to redo the inadequate sash about her, tugging the lines of her collar closer and more securely in a second attempt.
Most heavenly officials had the inherent ability to tap into their core to shift their appearances into an older or a younger version of themselves, or in Shi Qingxuan's case, an entirely different gender. But looks? Those were pure genes.
"But you already knew that!" there's little warning before she nudges him in the side, playfully, her wink saying it all, "A good looking guy can only be a stunning woman!"
no subject
"There is no argument there, you are indeed quite stunning, it is surprising to see the comparison," he was still trying to find a comfortable place to look that wasn't staring, and mostly raised his fan to hide behind.
Of course, his glances kept falling back to take a look. He had to look!
no subject
"You know what? You should give it a try. You're an incomparably good looking man, you're bound to look stunning as a woman. Haven't you ever been curious?"
Regardless of Shen Qingqiu's answer, belief system, or comfort level, for the time being this has been made Shi Qingxuan's current life mission.
no subject
But then the words sank in and he just felt confused, and also unsure about the truth of them. Sure he wasn't bad looking, this body was quite pretty, prettier than he expected, but it was nothing compared to Binghe, the praise was too high. But even then, regardless of how pretty or not he was, there was a problem with the statement.
"There is no way this master could change in such a way," how was he suppose to accomplish that? "The cultivation level is only that of golden core."
He could only assume a nascent soul woukd be required at a minimum for such shape shifting.
no subject
Shi Qingxuan blinks large, mildly confused eyes, head tilted as if the objection to such a reasonable suggestion is baffling beyond belief. Her grip on Shen Qingqiu's shoulders only intensify, and it's a strong one.
"Demons don't have any golden cores and they can shift their appearances as easily as cultivators do. The ability is already within you; it's just a mattering of wanting it badly enough and trusting your spiritual powers."
The corners of her mouth quirk up at the thought, as if a particular piece finally falls into place.
"You're not scared, are you?"
no subject
“Hardly. But, demons do have their demon cores, which use demonic cultivation and lend themselves to other abilities,” though the demons he knew of had no such shapeshifting skills. But then Airplane Shooting Towards the Sky had developed monstrous demons more than humanoid ones. And like everything else, not thought through particularly well.
But, if he thought about it, demons like Zhuzhi Lang had been able to shift between a human shape and an animal, but that was different from freely manipulating ones form. And with that thought he had to take a moment to feel a bit sad. What an unfortunate fate.
“Even if it is something that can be done at a golden core state, this one would still need to cultivate the skill,” could he even do that!?
Wait! More important, did he really want to try? Why was he even giving this a serious thought?
no subject
"I could do it for you! No, I will help you!"
After all, not being constrained to one form was the highest level of freedom one can achieve.
"I will transform you into the most radiant lady on this island!"
no subject
"I'm not sure how that would be accomplished..." please forget about such things. It wasn't necessary!
no subject
Her grip lessens, however, drawing back theatrically, arms folded under her best.
"Beings like me have their ways. It may sound inconceivable to you, but it's child's play to someone like me. Then again, you don't seem that convinced of how wonderful this change could be for you... So I won't push."
For the time being. For now, she will allow curiosity to take its natural course.

She's tapping Shen Qingqiu's half rolled book against her palm in nervous contemplation. In all fairness, Shi Qingxuan isn't fond of making grand claims nor blowing up her divine status into ridiculous magnitudes. The actual process would be far simpler, when explained, but there is something such as pushing a person too far.
"We would just need to exchange spiritual energy, you see."
no subject
He extended his hand, not thinking to say anything beyond that gesture of willingness.
no subject
But Shen Qingqiu makes it hard.
Tapping the rim of the book against soft lips as she might do with a fan, she takes a step back in an exaggerated coy fashion.
"Really? You really are up for it? I never took you for someone so bold! Then again, maybe the stories do paint you as more chaste than what you really are."
no subject
He slowly retracted his hands feeling confused, and unsure if he should even point out that it was offered not by him. If he just pretended nothing happened, he could avoid the embarrassment, right?
No. He had to throw it back.
"You offered... exchanging spiritual energy is normal and common, how can it be something 'bold' and not 'chaste'?"
no subject
She refuses to be embarrassed, for her part.
"Kissing! I'm talking about kissing!"
Among other things, but the esteemed scholarly lord doesn't look quite ready for that conversation.
no subject
"Kissing?" For a moment he looks confused, or disbelieving, what sort of stupid contrived mechanic was that? Was this Fate/? Was this shoehorning in the most contrived way to get people intimate through the guise of sharing spiritual energy?
'I don't want to kiss you, I just have to in order for you to live!' or some other type of foolishness?
He was suddenly grateful to the great Airplane Shooting Towards the Sky that he had never implemented such a cheap method. Imagine if he had? Everyone would be kissing everyone all the time!
"This one has never heard of such a requirement before. Skin to skin contact has always been more than enough," not to mention kissing was just lip skin to lip skin contact! What made it so special!?
no subject
Is she sulking? She's sulking and blushing now. It's the mere implication and suggestions she would even invite physical discomfort onto someone else that has her pouting.
"Otherwise, your eminence would have ascended a very long time ago, am I right?"
no subject
He is not....
HE IS NOT DUAL CULTIVATING!
The implication does leave him red. A long time ago? He has only been in that sort of relationship for a short time!
"This master has only recently completely refinement and creation of a golden core, to cultivate more requires more time. Sharing of spiritual energy of the kind common is not going to enhance one's cultivation," which is exactly what he said from the start!
no subject
Which is not a complete lie, but a lie nevertheless. Shi Qingxuan is as stubborn as the best of them. This person has gone from an intimidating, cold beauty to an evidently flustered young man in the span of half an hour and nothing was more fascinating to the Wind Master at the moment than poking until something gave.
no subject
"If it will settle the debate this one does not mind," just get it over with! Prove whatever you had to prove!
no subject
The difference in their heights is negligible, but Shi Qingxuan estimates they would have been of an equal height were they in their original forms. It makes the task easier, a gentle tug forward before the peak master could change his mind, a small hand behind the back of his neck to tilt his head down, and a non intrusive press of lips to lock them into place.
The kiss itself is gentle. The spiritual power is anything but. Energy moves onward from every point of contact, cool and warm interchangeably with evident bursts of power. Shi Qingxuan has always been more powerful in their female body, the one more revered and worshipped by mortals. Their energy floods every minute vein, blooming under Shen Qingqiu's skin, the divine energy bound to throb there for a day at most, and a few hours at least.
