[ It aches to sit up but he doesn't like laying down with someone hovering so close. His gaze roams around, drawn back to that disappointed look. Confused. ]
... No. Who am I? I can't remember ... anything. How strange.
[ Molly gives a wan smile and sits back even more so he's not crowding his friend... no matter how much he wants to. ]
It's okay. It will be okay, I promise. I know its strange to not know anything, but you're safe. That's the most important part. We'll work on the rest, okay?
[ He knows better than anyone how it feels, after all. ]
Your name is Fjord. We're friends, and you disappeared in the middle of the night.
[ He doesn't panic, murmuring his name to himself. Fjord. Yes, that feels right. The tiefling seems to be unnerved, though.
Fjord's attention drops to his own hands, looking at the odd blend of greens and inspecting nails sharp enough to pass for claws. When he accidentally snags some of the blanket he curls his fingers in and balls up fists on his lap. ]
... I'm sorry. [ He disappeared? That sounds odd. ] Did I do something wrong? Is that why I'm here?
[ He definitely has Rogue-like enthusiasm for it. Unfortunately he's 6'3" and his idea of sneaking is crouching slightly lower than usual as he heads for the nearest door, bare feet and all. His hair sticks up from the dry saltwater, clothes crumpled. ]
[ At least he's not wearing a hospital robe with his butt hanging out? Molly's pretty sure he can leave whenever he wants, but why not make it fun? Who knows, maybe it will restart Fjord's memory.
It had to be Fjord, still. Nobody new, he wasn't like Lucien.
Hopefully. ]
Just put on your boots first, okay? They're over there.
[ It is so tempting to say they're married or something funny like that, but Molly's been a lot less teasing after all the bullshit lately. ]
We're very good friends.
[ He's not sure they're beat friends, because Fjord seems closer to Beau and nobody would ever push Yasha out of his spot, but... they were definitely more than just friends.
Especially here. ]
Roommates almost all the time when we're out traveling.
[ He can see Molly properly in the light of day, lack of real sunshine though there may be. The tattoos and curly hair, even the scars don't detract from that cheerful face with sharp lines and warm cheeks, one inked like feathers. He's not as tall as Fjord but he looks ... nice.
He forgets about the travelling comment for a moment and sees no reason not to say, ]
You're very beautiful. Thank you for waiting for me to wake up.
[ He touches his own face absently, pleased he looks good in Molly's estimation. His hand squeezes the tiefling's a little as they reach the house and he reluctantly shakes his head, looking a little guilty. ]
[ He sits down for .1 seconds when told but is on his feet to inspect the room and look around as soon as Molly's back is turned. Finding a mirror on a shelf he takes it down and stares at himself, poking tusks. ]
... What am I?
[ Maybe Molly was teasing earlier, about being handsome. ]
A big place full of shitty water. Stay away from it.
[ Molly replies with a slight holler from the kitchen, and then comes out to the living room again with a tray of some grapes and cold-cut goose slices. He's not at all surprised to see Fjord move around, and he puts the tray down to walk over to his friend by the mirror.
This is all unnervingly familiar. ]
A half-orc. Look at those gorgeous eyes and the way your skin fades to a brighter green. It's so pretty.
[ He has no reason dissuading him from it so he reaches up to pat one of Molly's horns, curious. Touchy. It seems to help him remember, frowning a little. ]
You're a ... a tee ... Tealeaf?
[ Well now he's just super confused, this man does not belong in a mug. ]
[ It could be elven, too, but Fjord lacked the sharpness of those features. Either way, it doesn't matter much. (At least not to 'fuck the past'-Molly.)
Leaning a bit so that his confused friend can explore his horn, he brightens up when Fjord finds his name in that confused head. ]
That's me. Mollymauk Tealeaf. We're from the Mighty Nein.
The Mighty Nein ... I like the sound of that, it's dramatic.
[ Following the curve of a horn with his fingertips he only drops his hand when he glances back to find Molly watching him. A yawn rises up and Fjord covers it, blinking slowly. His head is aching again, the same way it did when he first woke up. ]
Would you mind terribly if I ate and took a nap? I'm ... getting sleepy.
[ There's pride in his chest at that and he can't quite stop a snort of amusement. ]
We sure are dramatic bastards.
[ Molly puts a hand on Fjord's shoulder, just resting it there while they talk. He's happy to hear that the hexadin wants a nap - hopefully the more his friend rests, the more he will remember. (He knew 'Tealeaf', so it's not all gone.) ]
Alright, lets go to the bedroom. I'll let you have the bed to yourself.
no subject
[ Molly pales a bit, and then leans back slightly to not frighten Fjord. Did he forget?
...everything? ]
I'm your friend. Molly. Do you... do you know who you are?
no subject
... No. Who am I? I can't remember ... anything. How strange.

[ You have a history with water. ]
Either way, I'm glad you're okay. You just need to rest now, and not worry about anything. I've got you.

[ The very idea of staying in bed makes him antsy, fumbling to get his legs free. ]
Let me out, Molly, if you're really my friend.
no subject
[ What, did you expect him to argue? This is Molly, after all, and he's more happy to let Fjord figure himself out before anything else. ]
We might have to sneak, though.

[ Why does he need that much leather? Is it cold outside? He turns around to see Molly and offers a hand. ]
Let's go then, this place is depressing.
no subject
It's the style these days. See?
[ He gestures at his own, and then takes that hand - always the tactile one, Molly, needing proof that Fjord's there and not disappearing again. ]
I agree, it's quite droll. Just wait until you see our place!
no subject
[ He eyes those boots and hums, feeling better by the time they are outdoors and he can feel the wind on his face. ]
Are you my best friend?
no subject
We're very good friends.

Thank you, darling! You're very handsome, so it's wonderful that we're friends, hmm?
[ He claps the half-orc's shoulder and heads towards their broken home. ]
Anything that seems familiar?
no subject
No, sorry. Why did I disappear from here?
no subject
[ Molly opens the door to let Fjord in to the mess of their home, gesturing to the somewhat broken couch. ]
Take a seat, I'll get you some grapes and a drink.
[ Water. ]

Please, don't leave. I didn't like waking up knowing nothing, it was ... it was awful. What if I go through it all over again? Please, stay.
[ Or he isn't sure he'll be able to sleep. ]
no subject
You got it. I won't go anywhere, I promise. We can get in the bed and you can eat your food and rest. I won't leave.
[ Maybe it would also help, after that... that other day. ]
