[The gunslinger manages to keep his balance as Fjord's weight hits him. He smiles at the giggles and the shushing.]

I think what you need is water. You'll have a hell of a hangover at this rate anyway.

No, no, no! I'm a sailor, okay, I know when I need water and it needs to stay in the ocean right now. I need a beer. Percy, listen, listen to me Percy, [ hissing under his breath, Fjord's whispers smell like cheesy bread and peanuts, ] I'll lean on you and you help me to the kitchen. No one will know! How would they know?

[Percy rolls his eyes, still smiling, and steers them in that direction. It's not even a fraction as bad as trying to move Grog, so he thinks they'll manage. He has no idea if the Zone spreads that far, but Fjord really should hydrate. Maybe Percy can find him a lighter beer. Close enough to water, right?]

You're right, no one will be the wiser. Come on.

[He may or may not accidentally bump Fjord into at least one piece of furniture. He's a little unwieldy.]

Whoops! Excuse us, miss.

[ Mistaking a side-table for a dwarven harlot from his past, he waves to it as they pass. Once they stumble into the kitchen Fjord sprawls forward over the kitchen counter, bent forward with his cheek mashed against the cool stone. It's not overly attractive as expressions go, to say the least. ]

Oohhhhh, hello.

[Percy slips from Fjord's grasp (dex save 23) before he sprawls on the counter. He rubs the other man's back before he goes to find some water. He comes back to press a cup into Fjord's hand.]

Stand up enough to pound this back and I will find you another beer.

Percy, Percy, Pootcee ...

[ Snickering to himself as he levies up, he necks the water like he's being dared to in three big gulps, resulting in a grand belch. He slithers back down to the kitchen countertop and folds his arms for a pillow, watching Percy through one slitted eye, admiring the other man's shoulders and enjoying a wholesome lack of filters even outside the circle of the game in the other room as a rumble leaves his chest. ]

I'll pound you back.

Is that a promise? [he asks as he finds another bottle of something that looks good. Percy returns to offer the beer, since Fjord has done as asked with the water.

Then he goes in search of another bottle of wine, inspecting whatever inventory the Nein have to offer.]

[ There's a dozen or so bottles of wine in the cupboard, complimented with all kinds of liquors because a house without booze is not one the Nein (or Veth) can survive in. ]

Mmmmnnooooo, you'll shoot my dick or something. Ptchoo!

I don't think it's me you have to worry about, [he retorts with a smile as he finds a bottle he likes. He returns to the counter to open it. And he keeps an eye on Fjord to make sure he doesn't fall off the part he's leaning on.]

[ Rubbing some drool off his beard and onto his sleeve, he shakes his head after a moment's Intense Thought, pausing to blink widely for it. ]

I like Vex a lot, I don't want to hurt her. She's so great. And you're married, that's ... so important. My dick is not that important, Percy, shhh. Don't tell them.

[ Patting him (vaguely) on the arm. ]

[Percy smiles as he listens: none of this is news to him. He loves Vex'ahlia and he knows all of her virtues.]

Hm, well. If she ever gives you her blessing, you are welcome to try.

[No promises, and the two of them are still working out how to manage here, but. Fjord's not so bad when he's sober. Percy wouldn't be opposed.]

But I'm also not inclined to hurt her any more than I have.

[ Fjord covers his face with a hand, still managing to somehow sip his beer while looking shifty. Overly so, until he blurts out, ]

Okay, I know stuff but I can't talk about it, all the girls have been telling me things and I'll get Disintegrated if I say anything, but. But I get you. I get the ... Yeah.

[Percy looks again, wondering what exactly the girls have been telling Fjord.]

Do you? [Does he?] Well... I appreciate the empathy.

[ Thumbs up and a wink. ]

Hey, totally unrelated, [ it's not because his brain is a swamp of mixed topics right now but they make sense to Fjord as he gestures with his beer at the door, ] but is it me or are Vax and Gilmore super into each other? Not the normal amount but, like ... [ Widening his eyes. ] A lot.

Am I missing something there? I feel like Vax doesn't tell me as much anymore.

[Percy gives Fjord an owlish look. He thought Vax and Gilmore were very obvious, but. He knows both of them quite well.]

They are, very much so.

How long for?

[ With his beer in one hand he drags over a bowl of snacks someone prepared, cinnamon cookies, and chows down. ]

Oh, well... that seemed to grow over time, things only changed when Vax fell in love with Keyleth, I suppose.

[Vax's relationship with Gilmore - whatever it had been - was a somewhat private affair. The rest of them were aware of it, but Vax hadn't been one to talk about it. But it had been easy to see how fond they were of each other, even after the romance ended. And Shaun has not been subtle at all, in Percy's experience, in Erku regarding his feelings and intentions.]

[ That answer serves to visibly confuse Fjord more. ]

So what's .. going on now?

[ Gods above, it's hard to be subtle and not spill any sort of beans about how down Keyleth had seemed talking about Caleb, Fjord remembers soberly presuming that meant she was looking elsewhere for partners than Vax if that was the case, but he can't say she seems to be having a shit time. The beans must be kept secret, kept safe. ]
