They've at least come to a more open understanding, which is perhaps the only reason why Essek allows his attention to be so noticeably focused, even for brief moments at a time. Their little moments of affection are not so difficult to catch. But they still haven't gone all the way. Yet.

Still, Molly's comment forces a brief smile that shows a flash of sharp incisors.

"You sound like my brother," Essek muses. "Letting loose is unfortunately not something that comes easily for me."

He's still betting they'll fuck. Probably really well, to. Maybe with magic.

"Your brother must be a very sexy and smart man!" Molly says with a grin. It was kind of fun to imagine someone that looks similar to Essek being more of a party animal.

"...and we'll work on that letting loose thing, shall we? Do you want another drink?"

Essek would still not necessarily categorize Verin as so carefree as Molly is imagining, but compared to himself, just about anyone could be considered so. The youngest of Den Thelyss lacked the ambition of his older brother, and is often ruled more by his own sense of justice than practicality. In many ways, they could not be more different.

Essek missed him terribly, even before Erku.

He blinks to bring his thoughts back around, and finally after a moment licks his lips and gives a shrug as though giving in. He's had worse ideas.

"Why not?"

[ Molly gives the drow a somewhat amused look as he can see those eyes briefly lost in thought. He pours more of the nearby wine into that glass and then clinks the bottle against it - and then drinks from that. ]

Hey, I heard some new things about Xhorhas that I didn't know before. It really has no humans in it? Aside from Beau and Caleb now, of course.

Essek accepts the wine gratefully, taking perhaps an overlarge sip. He nods, half shrugging.

"Humans are extremely rare within the Dynasty. There are a few tribes in the southern regions of Xhorhas, in the wastes. Interactions with my people are often...confrontational, though I do not know much about them, and had personally never encountered anyone from there until Yasha."

[ Yasha's tribes. Now that is interesting. ]

Curious, that things are almost the complete opposite there than it is in the Empire. Roving bands of humans in a country that is non-human.

[ For someone who wasn't always welcome among humans, it's fascinating. ]

Yes, the difference is...striking. I myself have to be very careful almost anywhere outside of Xhorhas. Humans are definitely treated with much more suspicion within Dynasty territory.

Well, we're all a little untrustworthy to humans, even our humans. So you fit in well.
