[ Beau knows better than to ask where or how Cad gets his ingredients. She just eats what he gives her and assumes that if she gets sick later, she's allowed to punch him in the arm for it, or some other kind of payback. So when the firbolg asks for a taste test just as Beau's wandering into the kitchen to find more snacks, she grabs at the offered food and pops a bite into her mouth.

She chews thoughtfully. ]

Salt. Just a lil.

[ The thought of Beau punching him anywhere as a payback is truly terrifying. He's seen you punch ghosts monk! He doesn't want a bruised soul! No, if she gets sick, (which she won't!) he can always heal her.

Watching as she took a bite, waiting patiently for her verdict, it wasn't as if he could try the goose himself so he trusted her opinion. Cocking a brow and nodding as he was told salt was needed. ]

Ah, of course, salt. Hold on.

[ Raising a finger to Beau as he leant over and fished out some white looking powder from a pouch on a lower cupboard shelf. Giving the food a sprinkle and offering some more to Beau. ]

Try now?

[ As he waited, the Cleric smiled, glancing past Beau's shoulder. ]

This is nice, isn't it? More of us being together.

[ Beau takes up another bite and tosses it into her mouth, again chewing with a thoughtful expression. She's taking this seriously, in part because she's tipsy and in part because she wants to be helpful to Cad. Probably because she's tipsy, too.

She nods her approval with a single jerk of her head. ]

You got it. [ She claps him on the shoulder, then glances back at what he's looking at. Her smile is soft, but a little wistful. ]

Yeah. ...I just wish it were all or none of us. Like, if we're together, all of us, I'm sure we could figure out a way to get home.

[ He would have to remember at some point, to let Beau know he had a certain partly rotten fruit from a creepy Snake temple's garden, wrapped up and stored for later with his small belongings. He knows the Monk would probably appreciate the psychedelic high it offers. ]

Well, we have Mr Caleb at least. If anyone can get us home it's him. Especially with a little help from Essek.

[ He smiled back at her kindly. ]

You miss the others?

[ She smiles at the mention of Caleb saving them, but then it dims ever so slightly at the mention of Essek. Of course the drow would be helpful in getting them all back, but she's also thinking of what happens once they are back and Essek's doing whatever Essek's doing.

At least, she's thinking that until Caduceus asks his question. Then she's ducking her head with an unintentionally shy look.

There's only two more people left to miss, after all. ]

Yeah, just a bit.

[ Honestly, Caduceus doesn't see what the problem with Essek is. Obviously, he doesn't agree with a lot of what The Shadow Hand has done or might be doing, but the Mighty Nein are a pretty shady bunch too Beau! What's that saying, people in glass houses or something?

He catches that shy look and the way she ducks her head and offers her a kind smile. ]

Would you want them here? Would it make it easier or harder for you?

[ The Cleric might not be interested in matters of the heart when it concerned himself, but he's seen the way Beau looks at Yasha, he's sure he's seen her look a Jester a little like that too to be honest. ]

I don't know. [ Beau sighs and tilts back her head so that she's looking at the ceiling instead of at the firbolg or his cooking now. She sounds a bit pained, stressed really, by the question, as if it's one that she's been wrestling with a bit. ]

I would like for everyone to be here, in a group. We're stronger as a group and maybe we could do something about the situation if we're all together. And I would love for Jester and Yasha especially to have a chance to see Molly again. But as for me?

[ Her gaze falls again as she shakes her head and then promptly shrugs. ]

Sure. Why not?

[ Drying his hands on a towel as he watched her, tilting his head and offering a small smile. ]

If it makes it any easier, I'd like for them both to be here too. When you first found me and asked me for my help, I remember how lost you, Nott and Mr Caleb looked. And I wanted so badly to bring your friend back to you then, but I couldn't at the time... Now, if there was a way I could get us all back home, all of us, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

[ He's frustrated he doesn't have any higher spells at the moment, as there's one he knows he could learn, that could teleport everyone safely back to Exandria. Smiling as he turned back to the food and make Beau a plate. ]

Here, this won't sober you up, but it'll boost your energy a little. You're doing just fine here without the complications them being here might cause. Be kind to yourself Beau.
