What makes the Menagerie Coast so interesting? Besides what I imagine must be a beautiful coastline. [ He's genuinely interested in her answer. It's always best to hear about a place from people who have been there. ]

It's trade cities all the way down. Makes for interesting people, more ... freedom and the good kind of excitement. Besides, the Empire and the Dynasty are at each other's throats right now. That makes everybody cranky.

If I can find a way to make these here people could get food without worrying about getting drugged. That, I think, might be my project while I'm here. And the alcohol since that seems to be a need.

These are enchanted to cast Heroes' Feast, a spell a sorcerer shouldn't be able to cast or enchant on anything. But, well, I don't like it when people tell me I can't do something.

[ With a little more explanation, Beau's a little more impressed. She reaches out to try and take the item from Gilmore's hand, genuinely unsure if he'll allow it or not. But she wants to look at it with her fingers. ]

We'll see. It might be an ultimate goal of mine but I should spend a little adjusting and getting comfortable first.

She flips it over and over in her hands, examining it, looking for some kind of trick or rune written into the wood. She wants to learn through her own observation rather than ask him questions, though she has no idea what she's even looking for. ]

[ The signs of enchantment are easy to spot for another enchanter. The type of wood, the jewels for the dots, and the paints used. These material components make it work. But he'll let Beau understand that for himself. ]
