Beau really, truly, dearly cares about Veth. She does. But there's a limited amount of alcohol which she's been drinking in measured batches, only enough to get her tipsy and not drunk. Which means eventually she just becomes a bit blurry and not interested in socializing anymore.

She heads out to the garden for some fresh air and, spying Vax, decides she can't simply turn around and find some other spot to breathe. That would be awkward.

So she exhales heavily and moves to sit on the grass, mimicking Vax's positioning with her legs stretched out in front of her, ankles crossed, and propped up by her hands behind her back.

"Sup."

the lesbian with the chaotic energy seats herself next to vax'ildan, who only just observes as she makes herself comfortable. he doesn't even move his body, just his eyes, watching her mimic his positioning and finally rolling her head to face him.

"can't complain," he returns, just as simply. he likes beauregard, a lot. she hasn't been too far in his thoughts lately, mostly being consumed with particular wizards and sorcerers, but now that she's here, he feels himself start to relax a little.

maybe it's because she has so few expectations of him. "drunk yet?"

Beau wrinkles her nose in an exaggerated, thoughtful expression. That's probably the first sign that she's had a fair amount to drink, but it's hardly definitive. She can be expressive when sober when she wants to be.

"Close enough," she decides. "I didn't want to get drunk drunk and start hogging all the alcohol." Not to insinuate that anyone else has be hoarding the drink, just that she knows her own self and her own drunk self.

She shoots him a sunny smile. "I'm a good person like that."
