[ It's strange to describe things as muscle memory when you haven't had muscles for so many years, but instincts seem to take over for Chung Myung in an instant. He raises his sword to block the first strike, stepping back and twisting his blade just enough to catch Molly's second sword as well.

He was always a very, very good swordsman back in his day, but he wasn't so sure that his skills would have stayed sharp. As it is, he does feel a little rusty, like he's not moving as fast as he should be able to, but he's at least quick enough to keep up with the initial attacks.

With a strong jerk of his arm, he pushes at the blades pressed against his own sword to try and force Molly back.

[ It would be a little foolish to make a defensive maneuver and not follow it up, wouldn't it? A decision to do nothing but block sword strikes had been what caused his death all those years ago, though he doubts even if he failed to attack that Molly here was looking to kill him.

Still, there's a small rush for him as well to actually be back in his element, and Chung Myung lets out a bark of laughter as his blade is blocked in turn by Molly.

I guess I didn't forget too much after all.

[ The sentence comes out a little choppy as he keeps moving, broken up as the effort of the spar forces him to take pauses between words. ]

[ It's certainly pretty distracting! Chung Myung isn't entirely unaccustomed to having to watch out for a dagger someone might pull out, though sword users from his time usually only had one blade in hand at a time. They were heavy things, and trying to duel wield wasn't an easily accomplished task.

The tail, however, is something he can safely say no one he fought before possessed, and after a series of pretty elegant blocks, it does have him stumbling backwards a little less gracefully. Still, he does manage to put some distance between them, and quickly regain some composure.

And here you just warned me about the two swords.

[ Refocusing now as he goes in for his own strike. ]
