[OPEN] June Event: a little sweet fruit
● WHO: Xue Yang and open!
● WHAT: During a downpour and in the ensuing chaos
● WHEN: June Event
● WHERE: Where the trouble will be
● WARNINGS: Dubcon, violence, noncon in the thread with Jiang Cheng. Sexual content, sometimes with questionable amounts of consent. Character opt-out here.
1. a sound in my ear
[ Xue Yang actually spends several minutes outside when it first starts raining. He's not the sort of person to be particularly bothered by the weather, and he's half expecting it to pass fairly quickly anyway.
It does not, in fact, pass fairly quickly.
Several minutes, and then he's stepping into the nearest building. Xue Yang spends a moment looking back at the storm behind him before he turns to survey his new surroundings. ]
2. a taste on my tongue
[ (Particularly if you are canonblind, please check the information in my opt-out post before tagging this prompt, as this will likely involve some of the worst of Xue Yang's impulses.)
Xue Yang's unfortunate tendency to like sweet things has him eventually sampling, and then consuming entirely, one of the passionfruits. From that moment on, he's a man on a mission: to find someone. Who is that someone? He won't know until he finds them.
But then he does, spotting a figure not too far away. Immediately he heads over, moving much faster than one would normally expect, until he's in range to grab their arm. ]
You.
3. a touch on my skin
[ Xue Yang winds up spending a lot of time around the plants, but the tendrils are the ones that catch his eye the most. Earlier on, he messes up more than once when poking around them, only to find himself snagged and unable to easily pull himself free. But as the week goes on he starts to get a much better idea of how they react, to the point where he can even wrap himself up in them and not actually get trapped. Once he's got a better idea of how that goes, he'll start calling out to those who pass by, ]
Hey, come help a guy out, would you?
[ (Please specify whether you want him to be genuinely trapped or just faking!) ]
Wildcard
[ Anything else you're interested! If you want to set something up in particular, you can plot with me here or hit me up on discord! ]

[Being addressed so casually, Jiang Cheng slowly turns his head, his habitual scowl targeting the man trapped in vines.]
Why?
[For all that it's a single syllable, he drags it out like a full sentence. Do tell! Whyever should he bother with some idiot who got himself stuck in a plant? Especially when said idiot clearly hasn't learned any humility from the experience.]
no subject
[ Xue Yang gives a soft laugh, almost fully hiding any trace of contempt in it. He gives a tug of one arm, enough to make it look like he's trying to pull free and can't, but not quite enough to trigger the vines' automatic tightening responses to actually trap him. ]
You're not one of those who helps out someone just because they're in trouble?
[ He keeps his voice light, even though inside he's already angry. Just like a cultivator, isn't it? Sticking their nose up at everyone, not bothering to help unless it benefits them. But Xue Yang has an act to keep up, and though his acting skills are far from perfect, there's a few things that he can pull off well enough. ]
Is there something you'd want in repayment?
no subject
[He's a cultivator, not a nanny - and he may be a sect leader, but this tree hugge
rd is not part of his sect. All the more reason not to get involved. Then again, his peace has already been disturbed now, and as long as he has to build a reputation for his sect all over again, cutting this guy free is not much effort. Drawing his sword, he steps in close at the same time, deliberately threatening, though he doesn't cut the man or the vines just yet. This is a good lesson to learn, isn't it? Anyone could kill you if you're dumb enough to get stuck like this. Clearly Jiang Cheng is doing the guy a favor by teaching him this lesson.]
Don't get in my way again.
[That's the repayment he wants. He'll deign to cut the man free in exchange for that.]
no subject
This is "in your way"?
[ Xue Yang takes the gamble.
Suddenly he reaches out to grab Jiang Cheng's arm and press the vine wrapped around his own between them. It's definitely going to trigger it to tighten, and although he's reasonably certain it will try to grab both of them, it's not a guarantee.
Even if it doesn't, it's at least only going to restrain one of his limbs at this point. He has confidence enough that that won't be enough to leave him defenseless. ]

While Jiang Cheng can wield Sandu and Zidian at the same time in an emergency, he wasn't prepared for such a situation now, and his sword was in the same hand his ring is on - the same hand that is now trapped in the vines. Yanking with all his strength only tightens the vines' grip, and while he tries to cut with his sword what he can, the vine doesn't give him enough freedom of movement to wave it around much - and he's not ready to let go of his sword just yet, either. After all, while he could send his sword flying, if the vines grab hold of it, too, he'll be in bigger trouble.
He was quite literally caught by surprise, but at least his response after that is fast enough. For the moment, he ignores his new least favorite piece of human trash, trying instead to get free while there's still a chance of doing so: bloody revenge can always follow. Using the vine's grip to his advantage, Jiang Cheng jumps up and kicks out in the hopes of getting the vine to let go, either in pain or by distracting it. While up there, he'll try to take Sandu with his still-free left hand, trying to dodge the vines' attempts to ensnare both his kicking legs and grabby hand.
It's just a shame that there's not a whole lot he can actually do: his right arm is stuck from the beginning, and he only has so much space to move, especially with the other man so close and possibly trapped right there with him. Sooner or later, 'helped' by his new 'friend' or not, Jiang Cheng is going to get another limb stuck in the vines, and that will be the end of his ill-conceived escape attempt.]
no subject
Ah, you really did get me free. Thank you.
[ There's something overly sweet and mocking about his tone, even as he says what should be words of gratitude. ]
no subject
You... You planned this from the start?!
[There's less disbelief than anger in the words. Maybe Jiang Cheng doesn't know just how much of this was planned, but at the very least, the "victim" must have been aiming for someone to take his place. That is more than enough reason for Jiang Cheng to be pissed off.]
no subject
[ He eyes the vines that are holding Jiang Cheng in place, and with the expression on his face that isn't quite a smile and isn't quite a grin, it's hard to tell if he's trying to figure out how to make the man's position better, or worse. ]
no subject
He might give it a shot. But he'd really rather not do so with that asshole watching. Even apart from the fact that there's a risk to revealing too much of your spiritual weapons when you're in a tight spot... he just doesn't want to look like an idiot, if it ends up not working.]
If you can get free, I can definitely get free.
[Since, you know, you're human trash, and clearly Jiang Cheng is not. (Well... opinions are divided on the subject.)]
no subject
Alright. Go ahead, then.
[ And is he sticking around to watch? Of course he is. Who would he be to wander off and leave Jiang Cheng in such a precious position all by his lonesome? ]
no subject
But fine. That's just more reason to get free, anyway, isn't it? Not an idiot (by most if not all definitions of the word), Jiang Cheng doesn't take long to conclude that the harder he pulls, the harder the vines grab hold. Trying it the slow and easy way makes sense, then - but that's also pretty hard when the vines carry his entire weight: he "pulls" on the vines whatever he does.
Still, all he needs is a little extra freedom of movement in his right hand, which he gets by trying to hang his weight mostly from his left leg instead. Then it's just a matter of reaching up with his left hand and avoiding getting that trapped in vines too, so he can grab hold of Sandu and cut himself free the rest of the way.
His progress is frustratingly slow, but he's getting there, little by little.]
no subject
(If he's already decided on a murder, what does Xue Yang have to lose by making this worse?) ]
no subject
Eyes widening at that very bold and extremely unwelcome move, Jiang Cheng does his best to avoid letting the vines get more of a grip on him, but time is short, his position is awkward, and his new enemy has the element of surprise on his side: before long, Jiang Cheng's left arm is trapped, too.
At which point he decides to give up on his attempts to get free for now, since those are clearly doomed, and instead uses the one limb he still has free to try and kick his enemy in the face while he can. #priorities]
no subject
Not enough to not laugh, as made obvious by the way he takes the kick directly, recoils slightly from the impact, and then laughs in Jiang Cheng's face. He pulls back, making it no secret the way he's looking over Jiang Cheng to make sure he's well and truly secure, at least for the three limbs that are trapped. ]
There now, what do you think? It's not so bad. I wonder what sorts of things I can do to you like this...
[ Of course, he's making no attempt to hide nor draw attention to his missing finger, but that might not necessarily be high on Jiang Cheng's priority list at the moment. ]
no subject
Try it. [What does he have to lose by now? If he can't stop this guy, he can't complain; if he can stop this guy, he has nothing to fear.] When I get free, I can kill you slowly, or I can kill you quickly. Take your pick.
[Maybe the missing finger will trigger some thoughts later or maybe it won't, but for now, Jiang Cheng indeed has other priorities, including but not limited to death threats and being an asshole.]
content warning: dubious consent
Slowly.
[ Being killed slowly sounds much more fun.
And just to punctuate it, Xue Yang leans in, reaches forwards, and tries to cup Jiang Cheng's crotch. ]
no subject
Between that and the general obsession this place seems to have with fornication, Jiang Cheng is only briefly surprised by Xue Yang's target. He's not even that offended - yet - but he certainly is pissed off, and doing his level best to both squirm out of the way and aim another kick or two (or ten) at Xue Yang. In the long run, it probably won't accomplish much more than tightening the vines' already painful grip on him, and he'll have to be careful not to do himself any real damage... but he's not ready to give up the fight just yet.]
no subject
Finally he moves all the way in, using his free hand to try to grab Jiang Cheng's jaw and holding him in place for a biting kiss. ]
no subject
If the kiss is biting, it's still Jiang Cheng who tries to do the actual biting, after the initial shock wears off. There's a good chance that he'll bite himself as much as Xue Yang- in fact, he's possibly even hurting himself more, depending on how Xue Yang is grabbing him - but compared to the need to fight back, that's not remotely important.]
no subject
After a few seconds he starts to caress with his other hand, deliberately trying to work Jiang Cheng to hardness. There's something that he likes about the idea of making his captive enjoy it, especially since he's a cultivator. They're always acting like they're above things like this, but in the end they're just human. They enjoy fucking like everyone else. ]
no subject
He's not overly fond of things being done to his body anyway (thanks, Wen dogs!) but most things heal or go away, and he can go back to pretending they weren't so bad. But the fact that his own body is responding like this? Even knowing it's just a physical reaction, there's no excuse for it - and so, panic, it is!
He tries to headbutt Xue Yang to end the kiss, no matter how briefly.]
Get the hell away from me.
[It's more of a breathless hiss than his usual angry shouts, but whether that's a good sign or a bad one is up for debate.]
no subject
How about this: you gave me the choice if I want to be killed slowly or quickly, so I'll return the favor. Do you want to be fucked gently or roughly?
no subject
What he wants is for Xue Yang to rot in hell, but the fact is, that asshole has the upper hand, and anything Jiang Cheng says can only make things worse all around, underlining his helplessness at best.
What is the lesser of two evils, here? He has no idea how he'll respond to either way of being fucked, but whatever's over more quickly is probably best.]
... Roughly.
[In a way, it almost feels good to make a choice: decisive; still in control, in some small way. If it's also going to destroy him, that's a chance he'll just have to take.]
no subject
Roughly it is.
[ Then without any hesitation Xue Yang pulls his hand back and starts stripping off Jiang Cheng's belt. Roughly suits him just fine, after all. ]
no subject
But instead what he gets is being slowly exposed, and as much as he tries to accept the inevitable, taking deep breaths in a poor attempt to calm down, the panic doesn't go away. His body just feels increasingly tense, like a bowstring pulled too far, and at the first touch or soon after, his attempt at self-control will snap, and he will thrash in his bonds all over again, letting our a roar like a wild animal.]
