While his temper is raging in the background, by the time he has his right hand and left ankle caught by the vines - and what a charming position that leaves him in! - he's figured out how the vines respond to any attempts to yank himself free, and that doesn't bode well. He needs to keep his left hand free, at least - and it currently is, balled into a fist and kept close to his body in an attempt to accidentally alert more vines to its presence. He can try to grab his sword with it once both he and the plants have calmed down some - or use seals to send his sword flying after all - but he knows better than to attempt that when the plant's would-be previous victim is around.]

[There's less disbelief than anger in the words. Maybe Jiang Cheng doesn't know just how much of this was planned, but at the very least, the "victim" must have been aiming for someone to take his place. That is more than enough reason for Jiang Cheng to be pissed off.]
