He might have asked questions that he also isn't quite prepared to answer yet. Molly also makes a good point, though Caleb is naturally resistant to considering his own needs in matters like this. What he might want out of this himself has been remarkably low on the list of things he's considered, ironically. ]

He seems happy with the way things are now. So am I. Maybe it doesn't need to be more, and I am overthinking it. That would not be unusual.
