( molly; a different kind of faux-wedding )

[ In a bid to pull away from the rough, mindless half-orc side of things that have been pushing further into the limelight of his relationships lately, Fjord spends a day while Molly is out of the house setting things up in their bedroom. It's been a little over a week since they made up and sex still hasn't entered back into the equation of their relationship, whether because they are both still desperate for emotional support or because of a vague, lingering apprehension on Fjord's part, he honestly doesn't know. What he does know for certain is that he wants back what they had, the wild carefree nature of Them, without roadblocks or apprehension. He misses it as much as Molly.

And it's time, he's sure of that too.

Their beds, pushed back together when Fjord moved back in, are thrown out and replaced with a kingsize that takes up even more room but does the job of making his point. He can't separate anything again, he can't 'run away from us' as Molly put it; Fjord is showing he will stay, next time. It absolutely requires the assistance of others in the house to get up the staircase but thankfully the single Vox Machina in the house is also determined not to be bested by a bed and the furniture makes it safely into place, followed by fresh white blankets and flimsy drapes with what Fjord has discovered are ironically named fairy lights, minus the actual fairies. They plug into the wall like so many other gadgets on the island and the effect is exactly what he wanted, especially once flower petals are strewn across the sheets and fluffy pillows.

He puts some fresh fruit platter beside the bed, along with two beers. Molly likes the former and they both like the latter, it's fine. It's fine.

It's all a waiting game, then. Molly comes home and they have dinner while Fjord internally vibrates while pretending nothing is different, barely containing his secret when he has to explain the new hole in the wall by the stairs where he dropped his end of the kingsize frame and Vax (freakishly strong on his end? 20!) nearly saw a wooden bed-leg go through a green head (2). Fjord ... accidentally summoned the Star Razor too close to the wall? Sure, that works.

When he takes Molly by the hand and leads him upstairs there are a few stray petals along the way. ]

I've got a surprise for you, come on.
